Hunted House Prototype

In this stalker horror, the hunter has become the hunted. 

In Hunted House, you play as a malevolent spirit, bent on spending eternity in your mansion. But, change is afoot. Exorcists have come to your domain in hopes of banishing you to the dark depths of eternity. Tethered to your mortal coil, you must use the haunted treasures at your disposal to evade and scare your pursuers. 

Inspiration

For this year's GMTK Game Jam, the theme 'roles reversed' immediately inspired us to create a unique take on a stalker horror game. Inspired by titles such as The Coma and Clocktower, we wanted to replicate the feel of a stalker game while putting the player in the shoes of the enemy.

Development

Obviously, our game is a prototype. Issues with the enemy AI resulted in lost time, making our game a little less polished.  But, this was a first-time attempt at rapid prototyping for our team of two, and we're proud of what we were able to produce in the 48 hour window.  

Thank you for taking the time to playtest our prototype! We love this concept and want to continue producing Hunted House until it's a game we can proudly stand behind.
